17th May 2003 Windsurfing: Coft Farm Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 15 Sea Temperature: Weather: Showers Max Speed: Distance Covered: Due to a late night I had no time to drive a distance so opted for a small training session on the duck pond in Tewkesbury with a bit of teaching thrown in for Jules. Rigged a 7.5m and although under powered at time had some good runs for this place. due to pond size it was constant turning, I wanted to try some helicopter tacks so I got wet straight away! Still need more practise going backwinded I think. Otherwise a whole range of gybes, carve, flare, flarve etc. Rigged up the 9m for a last few runs, pretty well over powered and a tad too fast for the size of the lake, but fun anyway... A good work out even if a small lake location so maybe 3 stars on a day that should have been 4. |
